The Asus tablet confusion

I’ve wanted an Asus Transformer tablet since they came out last year. In Decemeber the Asus Transformer Prime was released.

Recently Asus anounce another group of andriod tablets to be release this year as well as the rumored “Android tablet” that will be built by Asus.

Entry level ASUS Transformer Pad 300

The 300 will be powered by a powerful NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor running at 1.2GHz, and it features a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display. 1GB of RAM is available for applications to run in, and there is 16GB of internal storage for apps and media alike.

Asus Transformer Pad Infinity

Infinity has 10.1 inch touchscreen?display, its a Super IPS+ display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels?powered by?Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Krait Dual-core(4G/3G) or the NVIDIA? Tegra? 3 T33 Quad-core (Wi-Fi) CPU with 1GB ram and it will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Asus Padfone

Can’t decide on a phone or a tablet then just get the padfone. Its a phone that will dock into a tablet. The phone is powered by?Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 8260A Dual-Core 1.5 GHz with a?4.3inches, qHD 960×540, Super AMOLED with Capacitive Multi touch panel. Once you place it into the tablet you get a?10.1inches, WXGA 1280×800, TFT with Capacitive Multi touch panel.

Trying to keep all these models and their specs straight is becoming as bad as figuring out which Android phones to buy. I guess that is were Apple shines, all their phones and tablets are the same your only options is storage size and color. Any of these units will allow you to play games at full resolution with no performance issues, think about it a quad core processor in a tablet, wow!

With Andriod tablets there are always rumors of the next big thing and some of these rumors never pan out..
