Advanced Windows permissions for files and folders

So many times we’ve need to setup advanced windows permissions and understanding what each permission is for is not something I keep at the front of my limited memory 🙂security photo

 

Here is the official Microsoft documentation on what each right means when setting advanced permissions for files and folders

Folder permissions include Full Control, Modify, Read & Execute, List Folder Contents, Read, and Write. For information about these permissions, see File and folder permissions. Each of these permissions consists of a logical group of special permissions which are listed and defined below.

  1. OMG Jayb ! I have used the File permission feature for longer. But i don’t even noticed or ever thought of these. This is really useful. Thanks for sharing.
