The Anatomy of a Horrible Web Design Client – Infographic

Whether a person’s been designing websites for years or have only heard the stories, it is common knowledge that some clients just don’t know what they want. The Anatomy of a Horrible Web Design Client takes a horrible client and breaks him down into easy to spot red flags.

Take the client that uses vague phrases to describe what he wants. This client will tell the designer that they want an eye-catching and salable design, but they have no idea what they want or they don’t know how to put it into words. It will, of course, be the designers fault when he can’t turn gibberish into the perfect website design.

Learn to weed those that don’t want to pay a retainer, sign a contract or promptly discuss changes from the good ones. Above all, have a checklist that helps determine which clients are too much of a hassle to deal with.

  1. Wow you hit the nail on the head. It’s very important to cover your own butt when creating websites. You have all kinds of people, some good, some bad. Which is why we love building websites using templates. The customer can pick right away what they like, instead of having a guessing game.

  2. The website design is a thing that most of the clients are not actually very much aware of and apart from the basic things they should be guided not to get involved in the process.

  3. Most of the clients dont pay attention to the web designing, because they don’t know much about that. It is great post fully elaborating the things.
