The Anatomy of a Horrible Web Design Client – Infographic
Whether a person’s been designing websites for years or have only heard the stories, it is common knowledge that some clients just don’t know what they want. The Anatomy of a Horrible Web Design Client takes a horrible client and breaks him down into easy to spot red flags.
Take the client that uses vague phrases to describe what he wants. This client will tell the designer that they want an eye-catching and salable design, but they have no idea what they want or they don’t know how to put it into words. It will, of course, be the designers fault when he can’t turn gibberish into the perfect website design.
Learn to weed those that don’t want to pay a retainer, sign a contract or promptly discuss changes from the good ones. Above all, have a checklist that helps determine which clients are too much of a hassle to deal with.
