{All things 404} Don’t you hate it when you arrive at an invalid
Web site and get the standard “file not found” error, also known
as 404? You may have seen a more creative version of the error
message, which can make the 404 less painful. For instance, enter
“http://www.amazon.com/hello”, which is obviously not a real page. Instead of a standard
error, you get a cute dog (sorry, cat fans) with a message and a
few links. At least you’re not stuck on a page with the error and
no links. Some 404 error pages are hilarious or creative, like this one from
Pioneer10. 404 Lab has links to unique 404 pages and offers
advice on how to create your own 404 page, something I’ve wanted
to do for a long time… the excuse? No time! [Meryl]
