I’m going to upgrade my Virtual Center next week, this is a really good tip to keep handy.
A few people have notice that since upgrading to Virtualcenter 2.5 deploying a Windows 2003 VM from template no longer gives them the ability to customize. The option is disabled.
The fix for this is simple. You need to grab the new deployment tools from Microsoft’s site here also referred to as the sysprep files. You will be downloading WindowsServer2003-KB892778-SP1-DeployTools-x86-ENU.cab
This file needs to be extracted on the Virtualcenter server and placed in the following folder-
All Users\Application Data\Vmware\VirtualCenter\sysprep\svr2003
Once these files exist in the correct folder, you will be able to deploy your W2K3 template.
For more details read the Virtual Center 2 Template Usages and Best Practices http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vc_2_templates_usage_best_practices_wp.pdf

Very nice, this tool will be a great addition for our Altiris admin. Now we just have to make sure WOL is enabled in the bios of our Dell machines.
This small command line utility makes possible to switch on a computer from a second one by sending a "Magic Packet". Both of computers can be located on the same LAN or on the different LAN segments.

Here’s a few free games, some are multi-player for your next lan party, I’d include wolfenstein enemy territory and American’s Army for free multi-player games.
There have been lots of great freeware games in 2005 and I decided to present you the five best ones. The games include strategy games, action games, ego shooters and adventures. Should be something for every taste. The freeware scene has developed in the last years producing bigger and better looking games that can sometimes even be compared to commercial products that have been released this year.

If “cd Wolf3d” was your favorite command back in the day, then you’ve just scored a ticket to the factory. DOS Game Archive is a huge collection of almost EVERY DOS game, from Aladdin, to Zone66. And being such it houses some of the most memorable games like the first Quake, Wolfenstein 3D, and the ALL time classic, Duke Nukem. Enjoy
