When I was using MT, I would get trackbacks all the time. When I posted using MT, it would go though my post and try to send trackbacks for each link in my post.
Sending trackbacks seems to work. I tested it with my test wordpress.com site. But when I try to send a trackback to this site from the wordpress.com site. It doesn’t seem to work.
Could someone please point me to some WP help with trackbacks.

Sorry just testing again. I installed UTW, but I can’t seem to get the tags to work from w.bloggar, and since I create most of my post from w.bloggar that is really going to suck.
at least trackbacks seem to work, but I’ll test again only using w.bloggar

Trackback spammers have recently been flooding blogs with spam, often with hundreds per day. Although MT’s Spam Lookup plugin junks most of the spam, the flood of trackbacks can put a strain on server resources. To take a look at the amount of trackback spam you may be getting, click on “Trackbacks” from your main blog menu, then select “Junk Trackbacks”.

I think I may start ranting about politics a little more on this site. A new politic site I found a new site tonight, I like the URL, but I’ll have to read it for awhile to see how good the post are. The Site is stoptheaclu.com
I also love Randys Rants and one of his latest hit home. When I was in high school and college I like rap music. Now that I have a career I better understand the world and the important things in life. I now prefer classic rock and country music.
I would also like to know when did it become required to acept everything. Anytime you stand up against anything (example: sexy,volience,gays,drugs,war) your a bad person. I’ll go deeper into this issue later..

Since stone started using wordpress he has had any comment spam. I’m about ready to give it a try. He was able to move all of old movable type stuff over to wordpress.
I need to comb over the site and make sure I’m not using any MT only stuff. Stone’s site doesn’t seem to have trackbacks, but he thinks wordpress supports them. We’ll see.

Last week I updated the some of code on the site. Updated the mt-blacklist, updated the templates so comments and trackbacks are inline. I also ‘fixed’ mt-blacklist so time ago I must have added a rule to block all comments so no one could comment. So I fixed it last week, the problem is now I’m getting a ton of comment spam that I have to go and delete. I have it all moderated, but it still sucks weeding though it all, and now they are moving onto trackback spam.
For god sake, I can’t believe they get any traffic from my little person site. What ever. I started messy around with flickr. Checkout my flickr site
It’s just something I’m trying. I like my photo Gallery at Benway Net, I’m just testing out what some of the hosted solutions have.

The plugin has a junk filter that can moderate comments and trackbacks that are submitted a certain amount of time after the original entry was posted, or after the last comment/trackback was posted. You can also flag such comments as junk instead of moderating them, and even scale the junk rating so that it increases the longer the entry has been idle.
