Argg, Why are my sidebars on the bottom?
I’m sure it’s something to do with one of my post and some odd html tag or something. But its a pain in the butt, IE7 looks like, IE6 has the sidebars on the bottom. I haven’t installed firefox on this notebook yet, so…..
Argggg..

Get Super DragAndGo to work with FireFox 1.5
You need to save .xpi locally, open it up with (win)Rar, extract install.rdf and edit it with notepad or another text editor. Change the correct line to this: 1.5+ save it and add the modified version to .xpi file. You should now be able to install it.
Get Ver 0.2.4 in author’s homepage, here is the link: http://superdragandgo.mozdev.org/installation.html

Making Firefox Handle Multiline Pasted (”Broken”) URLs
Andrei provides an excellent tip for Firefox users in Pasting Wrapped URLs:
Here’s another Mozilla/Firefox tip: if you copy a URL wrapped over multiple lines from somewhere and try to paste it into the address bar, you will end up only with the first line of it. To fix it, go to about:config and change editor.singleLine.pasteNewlines setting to 3 or add:
user_pref(”editor.singleLine.pasteNewlines”, 3);
to your user.js file. Now all the line breaks will be removed upon pasting.
Excellent! I’d been looking for such a feature.

Searching del.icio.us tags via the Firefox address bar
A lot of sites have built FIrefox search plugins (even we have one) to make searching easier, but you won’t need one for this quick tip. If you use del.icio.us you may want a really fast way of searching through the del.icio.us tags so you can find some interesting new reading. With Firefox, you can do this with just a couple easy steps. Read on!
Before we continue, please remember this only works with Firefox. Internet Explorer users, you’re out of luck.
- First, head on over to the del.icio.us tags page. Please note that this will work on any page, so you could just as well use it on your own tags page (or really, any webpage with a search box).
- Now, right-click on the search box and click on Add a Keyword for this search.
- Now name it (del.icio.us tags would be a good name) and add a keyword. Make the keyword short and easy to remember; we’re trying to make searching easier. Trying something like tagsearch or whatever tickles your pickle.
- We’re all done! When you want to search through the tags, just type in tagsearch tag_name (where tag_name is the tag you’re searching for) and you’ll automatically be taken to the proper page!
