Since I’ve moved back to Charter and there higher speeds. My old Linksys WRT54G with Tomato firmware doesn’t seem to be keeping up. I’ve had drops and low signal issues with it the over the last month. I don’t always get the speeds I should be getting when I do a speed test (but when I plug directly into the cable modem I do get the high speeds consistently)
The last draw was the new ATT Microcell I got won’t stay connected or pull an IP 90% of the time. I’ve tried the unit at work and it will pull and keep an IP every time. I’ve tried different ports on the router and different Ethernet cables same with result.

Last week there were reports of ATT sending letters to some customers offering them a free ATT 3G microcell.
Well today I got a letter from ATT. Some how I’m a VIP customer and was offered a fee microcell. I hope to go pick it up tomorrow.
I’ve only been an ATT customer for about a year, the only thing I can think of is I used the ATT iPhone app to report bad coverage called Mark the Spot

To learn SharePoint I am developing a Project Site for work. We have a deal with a SharePoint consulting group for weekly meetings to help me get past my stucks.
Right now I’m working on the forms for the Projects.
Our projects have five different stages, so I’m using SharePoint designer to create a form for each stage. Each stage has different required fields. So in stage one there’s only about seven required fields, by stage three its up to eighteen fields.
A quick way to create a form in SharePoint designer is to create all of your columns in the list first.
Then click on the details of the list, you’ll see the list of forms in the right side column.
You will have three options for the type of form you create (new,edit,display)
By default the new forms will include all the fields from your list. What I did for each form is just create the first form then do a SaveAs for the other forms. Now I’m going back and removing the fields and columns I don’t need for each stage.
When I’m done I’ll have a total of twelve forms. I’m creating one of each type for all stages. I might not need them, but since we are still working through the process flow and how this is going to work. I figured it would be good practice to create them all.
Next I’ll start with workflows that will be triggered by the submit button.
A few things I ran into:
After I added all the new feeds, I had to create a “new” form before I could create an edit form with the new fields. If I didn’t the edit form just contained the original fields.
I just started testing the workflows and it seems like I cannot add actions to the default save button that is auto created on the form, it looks like I have to delete that and add my own button object they edit that to do a commit and custom action.
I’ll continue these post as I learn more and get stuck.

The times have gone where in people in the interview panel kept asking questions to the candidates on the skills that they poses and the various questions that were asked to determine whether the person has the necessary knowledge to do the job. It has all changed thanks to the various certification programs. Thee certifications are usually issued by the pioneers in a particular field and these certifications are highly standardized and hence are highly regarded in the job market which could help the people to master the technology and how to handle them.
Almost every employer requires a candidate to have a certification in the related filed to get a good job. This acts an s a testimony to the technical expertise that a person has in particular field. Oracle the tech giant has issued certification programs for people to benefit and the way to obtain an oracle certification is as follows. The first step in obtaining an oracle certification is to choose the field that you want to gain expertise in. if a person is able to specify the field of requirement then oracle would provide you with the details of the various eligibility criteria that are to be met to be able to take up the oracle certification.
The next step is to actually prepare for the exam and this can be done by taking up training programs of various kinds. It can be online training using instructors or tutorials or just using the online resources provided by oracle. The next thing t do is to actually take up the exam after god and serious preparation. One can take up the exam from the various oracle certified centers or through personalized VUE centers. On clearing the examination the person would be awarded with the oracle certification.
