FREE Command Line Defrag Utility for windows!

DIRMS used to be a free command line defrag utility that you could use to script scheduled hard drive de-fragmentation. The new version isn’t free, but this article shows you where to get the original freeware version.

  1. Why not use the “free” command line defrag that comes with windows xp? Just shell out to dos, and type defrag c: (or other drive). You can also use schedule it as a task.
